Dr. Armen Roupenian with the Alaska Center for Venous and Lymphatic Medicine,
along with Ingrid Adams from Medi USA, will present these topics:
• The Role of Chronic Venous Insufficiency in Lower Limb Edema and Lymphedema
• Compression Basics
• How Would You Manage this Patient?
• Newer Modalities in the Treatment of Edema and Lymphedema:
Is there evidence-based medicine to support their use?

Hands-On Compression Workshop
Patient volunteers who suffer from chronic edema and lymphedema will be available during this afternoon session to give participants the opportunity to practice their compression therapy skills.
Topics included in this afternoon workshop are:
• Clinical assessment
• Measurement and Application of Adjustable Compression
• Troubleshooting Compression

Continuing Nursing Education
This activity has been submitted to Montana Nurses Association (MNA)
for approval to award contact hours. MNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Successful completion in order to award contact hours requires participating in the entire program, including attending all seminar sessions, the
hands-on workshop, and submitting an evaluation.
